History
Fried Green Durbins uses their unique blend of sketch and film to turn the awkward and mundane of this world into the hilarious and slightly less awkward. From the light to the dark, Megan Green and John Durbin set out to prove that you can find laughter in every aspect of life. In other words, they deep fry it.
Fried Green Durbins was formed in the spring of 2006 by Second City Improv Conservatory grads John Durbin and Megan Green after having worked together in several other comedy groups. They debuted their two person format opening for Rub-A-Dub-Dub at the Playground Theatre in Chicago. The duo has also performed as part of the Playground Theatre’s Graffiti, which highlights sketch groups in the Chicago area.
In addition to various performances in Chicago, Fried Green Durbins was a headlining act on opening night of Chicago Sketchfest 2007 and was 1 of 3 Chicago based groups to perform at San Francisco Sketchfest 2007. This Spring they will be performing as part of DC Comedyfest in Washington and a featured performer at the Apollo Theatre's Chicago Comedy Showcase. Fried Green Durbins continues to write/film/perform in Chicago.
