May 22, 2006; Playground Theatre Chicago, IL. Opening act for another sketch group. Performed 20 minutes of live sketches. Scenes were a mix of short blackouts and longer form scenes that played with variations in voiceover, lighting, and music.
July 14, 2006; Playground Theatre, Chicago, IL. Featured group at Graffiti which highlights up and coming Chicago Sketch groups. 30 minute show featured both live sketches as well as video segments
Sept 28- Oct 12, 2006; Donny’s Skybox Theatre Chicago, IL Weekly show at Second City Training Center owned theatre. Shows consisted of both live and filmed sketches with a focus on the show as being one consistent work with a through line.
October 19,2006; Donny’s Skybox Theatre Chicago, IL. Special Halloween show which involved guest performers. Live show was a murder mystery with all scenes tied in to the larger story. Show was a more cohesive piece of work than a collection of various sketches.
Jan 4, 2007; Chicago Sketchfest 2007, The Theatre Building, Chicago, IL. Headlining act on opening night of Chicago Sketchfest. 35 minute show consisted of both filmed and live sketches with a related intro and closer to make the show a more consistent body of work.
Jan 18 & 19, 2007; San Francisco Sketchfest 2007, Eureka Theatre & Dark Room Theatre, San Francisco, CA. One of three Chicago based groups selected to perform at San Francisco Sketchfest. Shows were mostly live sketches with a little film. Shows consisted of a compilation of favorite scenes from previous shows.
February 9, 2007; Ghetto Gourmet Chicago. Ghetto Gourmet is an Oakland based group that puts on gourmet dinners in people's apartments basically. Fried Green Durbins was asked to perform for the dinner guests and had fun doing it.
April 13, 2007; DC Comedyfest, Warehouse Theatre Washington, DC. DC Comedyfest is a weekend that welcomes the nations funniest comedians for a weekend of shows. This festival features stand ups, improvisors, sketch acts, and all kindsa jazz so to be selected to perform was a really cool honor. FGD performed as part of the Friday night Comedy Jam. It was a very intimate space and the group did a 'lights up' show with no tech.
April 25, 2007; Chicago Comedy Series, Apollo Theatre Chicago, IL. Every last Wednesday of the month this show features up and coming comedy acts from around Chicago. Fried Green Durbins performed with Andy Ross, Ben Seeder, Fox Force Five, hosted by Jared Logan.
June 11, 2007; Rub-A-Dub-Dub and Friends, Playground Theatre Chicago, IL. Back where it all began a year later opening for Rub-A-Dub-Dub. Fun show where FGD tested a bunch of the written material they had been developing. Everyone learned a lot.
September 9, 2007; International Sketch Comedy Competition Chicago Regional, Barrel of Laughs, Oak Lawn, IL. Competition between a few select groups from the Chicago area.
November 9, 2007; Longest Sketch Show Ever as part of the New York Comedy Festival hosted by the UCB Theatre New York City. 24 hours straight of various groups from the country performing as part of the New York Comedy Festival. A fun and very cool event that FGD was ecstatic to be invited to be a part of.
November 8, 15, 29, 2007; Welcome Great Lakes Area Cat Enthusiasts, Gorilla Tango Theatre Chicago, IL. The first time FGD has had a show title. Run in a theatre on the West Side of Chicago.
November 22, 2007; Thanksgiving Show, Gorilla Tango Theatre Chicago, IL. FGD put together a special Thanksgiving Show a la their Halloween show from the year prior. It featured special guests and completely new Thanksgiving related material.
January 10, 2008; Chicago Sketchfest, The Theatre Building Chicago, IL. The duo was asked back to Chicago Sketchfest and put together a brand new show. This one focused on a treasure hunt.
January 31, 2008; Apollo Theatre Studio, Chicago, IL. FGD will be opening for the group Think Tank whom FGD performed with during the International Sketch Comedy Competition.
