John Looks at the World. It Looks Back.

Miller Chill... Totally Chill...

If there are two things in this world I love, its fruit and getting f***ed up. Enter Miller Chill. The latest and greatest from Milwaukee is a "Chileda" style (I don't know either) beer that supposedly is brewed with a hint of salt and lime.

The first time I had it, it reminded me of Tequiza. I can't begin to describe how happy this made me. Tequiza was my muse for drunkeness when I was in high school. Memories of parentless houses and empty golf courses came rushing back. I was sold.

Flash forward to about a week later and a friend is having a BBQ. I decided its time to introduce strangers to Chill. Plus the hilarity in my mind of walking into a party and announcing "I brought Chills!" made me really happy. Got there, cracked one. It was much sweeter than I remember. I never thought a touch of salt and lime would taste just like a green jolly rancher. I had another one and instantly got diabetes. It was so sweet I couldn't handle another. I encouraged people to try it the rest of the night. Bad sign was realizing the alcohol content was not on the label.

Question: John, did you have a Chill race where you chugged a Chill against another person?

Answer: Yes. And I won... As much as anyone can win in a situation that involves chugging the equivalent of straight Mountain Dew syrup.

All in all, why have a sweet rememberence of Tequiza when they still make the real thing.
