Learn About Fried Green Durbins

The idea for Fried Green Durbins was hatched in the
fall of 2005 while John Durbin and Megan Green were
waiting to go onstage for an improv gameshow. The
pair had worked together in a few sketch comedy groups
and shared a penchant for the same type of comedy. In
the spring of 2006, while each was in between other
projects, they decided to share their off base sense
of humor as a two person comedy team. Their first two
shows were at the Playground Theatre in Chicago where
the group received praise for their unique scene ideas
and optimistically dark sense of humor.

Fried Green Durbins hit the ground running in 2007
with appearances at the Chicago and San Francisco
Sketchfests. In the Spring, Fried Green Durbins went
bicoastal by performing at the Washington DC Comedy
Festival. They returned east in the fall of 2007
performing in UCB's Longest Sketch Show Ever as part
of the New York Comedy Festival.

Along with retuning to Chicago Sketchfest in 2008, the
pair made their first trip to Los Angeles, performing
in LA Comedyfest in the Spring of 2008.

The team also continues to perform in Chicago having
done shows at the Gorilla Tango, Playground, Donny's
Skybox, Apollo Studio, and Cornservatory Theatres over
the course of their existence.
